About Black Butterfly Review

Our Mission is to serve as a showcase to authors and their work.  Our goal is to provide well written, unbiased and most of all honest reviews for the literary community in an attempt to cultivate an interest in reading while exposing readers to a variety of genres, authors and poets.

Eleanor S. Shields - The founder of Black Butterfly Review Group.  Ms. Shields is a writer who loves the written word.  As a young child, she would sit for hours writing poetry.  As a college student, she was encouraged by her English professor to have her works published.  Ms. Shields has been writing ever since and is a literary reviewer for Black Butterfly Review and Romantic Times Magazine.  Currently Ms. Shields is working on several writing projects in addition to being the mother of two wonderful children and wife to the love of her life.

A. C. Arthur - was born and raised in Baltimore Maryland where she currently resides with her husband and three children.  An active imagination and a love for reading encouraged her to begin writing in high school and she hasn't stopped since.  Her debut novel "Object of His Desire" was written almost six years ago when a picture of an Italian Villa sparked the idea of an African-American/Italian Hero.  Determined to bring a new edge to romance, she continues to develop intriguing plots, racy characters and fresh dialogue - thus keeping the readers on their toes!  You can look for Ms. Arthur's works wherever books are sold.

Andrea Blackstone - was born in Long Island, New York, and moved to Annapolis Maryland at the age of two.  She majored in English and minored in Spanish at Morgan State University.  While attending Morgan, she received many recommendations to consider a career in writing and was the recipient of the Zora Neale Hurston Scholarship Award.

After a two year stint in law school, she later changed her career path.  While recovering from an illness, she earned an M.A, from St John's College in Annapolis Maruyland ahead of schedule and with honors.

In 2003, Ms. Blackstone created Dreamweaver Press, in an attempt to realize her dream.  Andrea's long term goal is to use the written word to entertain while encouraging others to reach their maximum potential by overcoming obstacles to live a balanced and blissful life.

When not working in Washington, DC, she enjoys nothing more than settling down with a good book, and her constant feline companion Nero, and GARGANTUAN 20# pet rabbit Miranda (who by the way loves books as well because they taste so good!).  Ms. Hailey is an aspiring author that is currently working on several projects.
